In case you hadn’t noticed but the latest trend in ad industry is to find original and, frankly, odd places to stick their ads on. Hot on the (w)heels of extreme media formats such as our foreheads comes Wheelvertising.
Maybe it’s because we’re all too busy looking down at the sidewalk to avoid all those distracting brand messages that AdFleet has launched 2,000 taxis in LA with get-jiggy non-rotating hub caps advertising L.A. Dodgers, Taco Bell, Jiffy Lube, Virgin Colas and 1-800-Cheap Seats. And just to put us in a spin: see the concept soon in 14 areas including Atlanta, Dallas, Boston, Toronto and D.C.

“This is razor-sharp advertising at its best!”
Are they all on crack over there in singapore or what?

Well, we’re not all “on crack”, but you’ve to admit that this is a new form of advertising which consumers do take note of, regardless of whether they find it a brilliant idea or just a dumb concept.
Sorry for posting twice, it screwed up the first time.

Very interesting. I remember reading about companies that would pay people to plaster a big ad on their cars. Basically the individual would get enough from the advertiser per month to cover the car expense. The only catch was that your car has to be ‘unique’ in nature, something along the lines of a prowler or VW Beatle.
