How Walmart Predicts The Future
An article in New York Times recently highlighted that Walmart used trillions of bytes’ worth of shopper history that is stored in Wal-Mart’s computer network, to predicting what was going to happen when the hurricanes hit Florida this year.
Interestingly, beer sales shoots through the roof during the preperation period for any oncoming hurricane.
