We have the Pizza Hut Full House XL, we’re going to get the Starbucks Chincato and now Hardee’s announces, "Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid."
The fast food chain is promoting its new Monster Thickburger: weighing in at two-thirds of a pound with 1,420 calories and 107 grams of fat. According to guidelines, men should not exceed 2,500-3,000 calories a day, while women should keep around 1,800 daily. But Hardee’s isn’t too concerned, Hernando Today reports, as this is being intentionally marketed to people who want to indulge once in a while and "aren’t necessarily into reading food labels."

According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, “Burger sales at the roughly 2,050 Hardee’s outlets have climbed 20% since the 2003 introduction of the first Thickburgers. CKE (owner of Hardee’s) has posted 19 consecutive months of same-store sales growth, after years of the opposite.” And the company’s stock price has zoomed to near $15.00 a share, up from a low of $3.69 two years ago
