Researchers are working on pocket-size projectors so that one day people will be able to see a high-resolution slide show right out of a camera, a cellphone or an organizer. "There will probably be two or three different technologies for miniprojectors that will coexist," the New York Times reports V. Michael Bove Jr., a director of the consumer electronics research project at the Media Lab at MIT who has developed a device.
In the future, the miniprojectors may also be attached to DVD players, so people can watch a movie with a television-quality picture on a nearby wall.

Unbelievable. I had this idea about a year and a half ago – except mine was to incorp it in to mobile phones like the lens of the cameras currently used. Perfect for video messaging and playing games on the train! I really must start looking in to patents.
