
Yet another example of payments by cell-phone: travellers in the city of Hanau, near Frankfurt, early next year will be able to pay for tickets by passing their Nokia 3220 phone over a smart-card reader already installed on the buses.
Passengers will need to own a handset with a special shell installed on it.

CANADA: PARKING METERS ACCEPT CELLPHONE PAYMENTS
Torontonians can now pay for parking using their cell phones at 29 different Imperial Parking (Impark) parking lots throughout Toronto.
Mint Technology Corp., based in Toronto, provides the mobile phone payment service, named PayMint.
