2005: Other Trends To Note: Going Natural

2005: Nature imagery and natural materials.

Coral was big this last year as were things that look like tree branches; coasters, bookends and jewelry made out of agate; fabrics (pillows/home accessories and also clothes) with images of birds and animals.  Those are just a few examples.  Are people reacting to the technology boom/internet bomb with a yearning for nature?

Is this a mirror of the turn of the last century William Morris and the arts and crafts movement that came in response to the industrial revolution? After all, Prada sort of started the nature print thing in fashion with their William Morris fabric bags a couple seasons ago. 

2005 will be nostalgic for nature.
