Nigo has launched his first Bathing Ape store in the US, the 16th in his ever expanding empire. The store on New York’s Greene Street in SoHo is filled with his uber cool tees, shiny sneakers and even umbrellas. "Japan’s reigning king of cool", as reported in the New York Times, is planning to open 4 more stores in Japan in 2005, and there is even talk of a Bape hotel.

A Bathing Ape (BAPE) is it just Hype or is it truly a cultural phenomenon? Is the founder of A Bathing Ape, Nigo, an artistic genious or a shrewd businessman with a propensity for marketing and tapping into the vast expendable income of the world’s youth? Perhaps a question still in the balance! Regardless, no one can deny the impact of Nigo and the Bape Brand in the 21st century.

If you got a Paypal account u can get AUTHENTIC BAPES from me direct from Osaka, Japan. Check my EBay shop people…dont sleep! I get the new -ish the day its released in Japan…usually a couple of weeks before it hits London and NYC.

Man is there gonna be anymore bape stores opening in the u.s. besides in NYC and LA cuz i live in Dallas and everybody down here in Dallas/Fort Worth won’t some bapes and i can’t go all the way to LA or NYC 2 get them. Is there anyway we can order them online or somethin???
