A virtual keyboard, the size of a cigarette-lighter is about to be launched in the US through Radio Shack. It uses laser and infrared technology to
project a full-size QWERTY keyboard onto any flat surface for almost
any palmtop computer, PDA or mobile phone via
Bluetooth, reports Textually.
According to Information Week, the real goal of VKB, the manufacturer, is to:
"Build the virtual keyboard technology directly into mobile devices by mid-2006.
That would shrink the size, extend battery life, and potentially let
users rely on a small mobile device instead of a full-fledged laptop".
