Earlier this month PSFK wrote about how the Web may be the future of TV. This BBC article caught our attention this morning to show just how people everywhere are leveraging the web to watch the telly: "UK net users leading TV downloads"
According to the BBC,British TV viewers lead the trend of illegally downloading US shows from the net. According to research, 18% of global downloaders are from within the UK – busy watching episodes of 24, Desperate Housewives and Six Feet Under that haven’t been shown in Europe yet. In fact, the shows appear on the web hours after they are shown in the US. About 70% were using file-sharing program BitTorrent!
New business model for makers and syndicaters, PSFK thinks.

The new biz model will center on network-owned, P2P-friendly “startup comedies”.
