Paying By Finger 2 : EDEKA
Last year we reported how Piggly Wiggly was using finger-scanning technology is stores in South Carolina, now Smart Mobs reports that German supermarket chain EDEKA has tested in Ruelzheim some technology that allows its customers to pay by finger too for their shopping by placing their finger on a scanner at the check-out.
"All customers need do is register once with their identity card and bank details, then they can shop straight away," store manager Roland Fitterer explained.
