Google Plays With RSS Advertising, Desktop Thingy

AdSense contextual ad distribution in a handful of RSS feeds over the
past few weeks, Google is opening up the beta program to all of its
publisher partners, ClickZ reports. Ads placed in Google’s AdWords system for contextual distribution will automatically begin appearing on feeds.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports that the Googlers have released a desktop search product for businesses with the aim of
helping workers more quickly find information on the Web, in their
computer hard drives and e-mail inboxes, as well as on corporate
intranets.
