Japan Give Us a Sneak Peak to Cell Phones of the Future
A report published this month by Berg Insight shows trends in Japan, "the world’s most advanced mobile market".
The cell phone has become the all-in-one electronic and multimedia tool in Japan. Cell phones not only are available with TV and GPS capabilities, but also with FM radio and remote control access to other electronic devices such as digital cameras.
Over one million songs are sold to mobile phones each month in Japan, and over 30 million phones have a chip installed that gives the phone the ability to make payments in over 7 million stores, as if it were a credit card.
Do the trends in Japan give us an idea of the future of cell phones in the rest of the world?
Now if they could just integrate the house and car keys, we won’t need to carry anything else at all!
