EFF have created a guide, compiling a number of FAQs designed to help bloggers understand their rights and, if necessary, “defend their freedom”.
EFF insist that the guide isn’t a substitute for, nor does it constitute, legal advice. The goal here is to give the blogger a basic roadmap to the legal issues that may confront a blogger, to let a blogger know they have rights, and to encourage them to blog freely with the knowledge that their legitimate speech is protected.
