Pimp My Golf Cart?
In Florida, one of the retiree capitals of the US, golf carts are not just being used around the course – they are really another mode of transportation. And as is happening with so many other products & services, people want to be unique. From simply installing a TV to ordering a golfer’s version of a California Roadster, the demand for personalization of golf carts is growing.
Also being called NEV’s, Neighborhood Electric Vehicles, these carts are being used to get around large communities (normally in areas where the Speed Limit is 30 mph or less). For some senior residents that are no longer allowed to drive cars, the golf carts remain as their only transportation.
Additional trends in the industry include camouflage carts used by duck hunters.
