A recent article in The Observer highlighted the decision by Ireland’s Department of Enterprize, Trade and Investment (DETI) to ban the term "brainstorming" because it may be offensive to people afflicted with brain disorders. They prefer the term "thought-showers".
This has brought criticism from the Campaign for Plain English who feel that things have gotten a little out of hand. You might say that, or you might not so as to avoid offending clumsy people.
