Marketer EcoWatch : Yellow Pages

Thanks for the notes of encouragement yesterday around the idea of eco.psfk.com – We’re still looking for a likey contributor/editor. This is the sort of thing we think we’d publish:

New York bloggers are expressing the city’s frustration when the Yellow Pages dumped their mostly-unwanted directories onto the city’s inhabitants this week. CityRag says: "

Yellow_pages1"Although it’s obvious the majority of people no longer want them (as demonstarted by huge piles of unopened stacks that line the city streets), companies like Verizon and Yellow Pages continue to produce millions of these massive directories because their ad rates are based on how many they "distribute" (even though most are thrown out!)"

Verizon Yellow Pages dumps 112 million directories on doorsteps each year. We’re going to shoot off an email to their press office to see their response about all this waste. Anyone else care to join me?  Say you’re writing on behalf of psfk.com.  Let me know the response in the comments box.
