Stelios Haji-Ioannou who founded the easyJet group is about to launch a new cinema in the heart of London’s film theatre district: Leicester Square.

EasyCinema’s plan is to sell seats for as little as 20p based on supply and demand mechanics. The plan initially drew objections from the major film distributors, some of whom refused to let the company have access to its first-run features, but Stelios marches on.
