PSFK: Dropping Google & Burst

Over the weekend, we’re going to pull the last of the ads from Burst and Google from PSFK. If any blogger wants some advice on running ads on their site, we suggest that you should avoid these ad networks. Primarily, you get pennies for your efforts and also Google seems intent on never paying bloggers and Burst seems only good at sending threatening emails.

And it really mucks up the real estate, no?

We recommend that you join a network like BlogAds where, it appears, advertisers merit the quality of your readership, not the quantity. But even better: have an ‘Advertise’ button and create a customized program for a sponsor. On that note…. any one want to sponsor PSFK?? :)
