Semi-Permanent New York

By Piers Fawkes on July 22, 2005

Semi-Permanent is a design event that roams from country to country. New York’s SP is run by the crew at Design is Kinky and New York partners thehappycorp. It is a unique event on the International design calendar and not be missed by creative people of all types.

HappyCorp partner Doug Jaeger told PSFK that he thinks of Semi-Permanent in terms of the survival of the fittest. “Design mediums are converging,” he says. “And this is creating a ‘super-species’ of artists who have the ability to pull from a knowledge base well beyond their specific disciplines, making them stronger designers. We’ve plucked the rising super-species from the design world – And they will teach the rest of us how to survive.”
