Someone Save Us From Interbrand’s Top 100 Report

It’s that time again where we get inundated by the media reporting on that dodgy report known to all as Interbrand’s Top 100 Global Brands. Top 5: CocaCola, Microsoft, IBM, GE, Intel all ranked on something called Brand Value. We wonder where real top brands are. Where, for example, is ‘New York’?

What does this all mean? Not much – it’s a PR exercise for Interbrand, and a sales exercise for BusinessWeek – but check it out anyway.
