Getting Paid To Recruit Your Friends

by Guy Brighton

Reported in this recent Guardian article, employers are now asking their staff to refer and recruit their friends and family to join the company.

Staff who are successful receive ‘incentives’, such as a nice £500 bonus for their trouble (some even as much as £5,000) - which is usually cheaper than normal recruitment routes.  It’s a great way to grow the ‘culture’ of your company through friends and associates of your employees.

Nationwide, Amazon, Bupa, Vodaphone and Asda all have similar schemes in place.
