Engadget points to a new Voip service that’s offering free-free calls. If you open a VoipBuster account
and buy one Euro worth of credit, calls can be made free to all points in the US, UK, Canada,
Australia and other popular countires, plus low calling rates to many more. On review of the offering, Engadget says:
"The client itself
cannot be construed as feature-rich — there are no bells and whistles, no chat, no conference calling, presence
information or other of the niceties that Skype provides. It’s definitely stripped down calling, but free is a darn
good price, although no one is quite sure how they’re doing it or what the business model will be."

Hmm… Do you honestly think that it will stay free for ever?
Their business model is surely to grab attention and users during their “beta”, 1 Euro period.
Then they will switch to standard Skype rates, possibly 10% lower. Just the cynic in me…
Still, all competition is good for us humble customers!

Trying the Voipbuster today,I can say that it works fine, but,in my case when it happens both speakers speaking simultaneously, sometimes we loose part of the conversation.Mybe my cable connection is not good enough, since it is only 2 Mbit/s.
Anyway,it is an achievement to call for free .I cant blame…
