&lt;p&gt;However, your comment about environmental policy is important. Jaguars were once known for being forward-thinking, something that it lost when it started making cars for Arthur Daley (in fiction) and John Prescott (in fact). If there&#039;s something about this car that isn&#039;t all E-type curves, then we&#039;re in for something special. The aluminium structure is clever and saves fuel, but I&#039;d like this to be the first hybrid sports car.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Not counting those that once ran on natural gas in New Zealand a generation ago.&lt;/p&gt;
