3 in 4 people are now consulting blogs before they buy. Wow – that’s a HUGE number which further demonstrates the power of blogs. And why are people doing this:
…they trusted blogs because they were written by real people and based on actual experiences…
The survey also found that consumers trusted blogs 50% more than any other form of media.
Seems like the balance of power/trust is truly shifting away from mainstream media and advertising and more to interactive and ‘word-of’mouth’ forms.

Dig the use of stats, Dave.
It may be that it’s what the survey shows, though I doubt it. Makes a good tabloid-style headline, though.
The link would be more informative if it said (for example):
Who did the survey
Who was surveyed
Who or what 77% actually refers to – % of the online population? (surely not) – % of those who ever read blogs? (probably – in which case what proportion of the online population, or whatever, are they?)
Etc.
Yes, it’s a good endorsement, of some kind, for blogs. But let’s not get over-excited!

Just discovered a complete list of all marked down products at Amazon, sorted by category
and % off, ranging from 50% off to 90% off (thanks Sonja for the effort).
Actually I never thought Amazon would have articles with 90% off, but only in the category
Electronics there are more than 3000 of them – look for yourself, the list is on
Bargain Hunter (which is a blog of a woman who specializes in finding good deals at
Amazon, like Britain’s “Jeanie”).
