Bic Celebrate Dumping 100 Billion Plastic Pens On Us

by Guy Brighton

Bic1Bic Company have just announced the sale of the 100 billionth disposable Bic pen since it was invented just after
WW2. For a company whose stated objective is to "Design products that have minimal impact on the environment" that’s a lot of plastic.  At 15cm, lined up end to
end this would stretch 3,750 times around the globe, or 40 times to the
moon and back.

FLASHMOB ALERT >>>

FLASHMOB ALERT - Let’s ask Bic: Why they’re so proud that they’re
still producing plastic non-biodegrable disposable pens? What they’re
going to do to clear up all those non-biodegradable pens? How do they
plan to evolve into a company that leaves a zero-ecological imprint? Or
whatever else you want to ask them.
