GeckoThanks to the digital revolution anyone can now be a movie director, musician or even an art director, and that’s exactly what some brands are encouraging. The iPod ad made by an Apple fan last year kicked off this craze and forward thinking brands are now taking advantage of it. The logic is that a brand evangelist, someone that is prepared to spend their free time promoting your company, is a great person to have making your ads, so rather than claim this is damaging your brand values why not harness this powerful tool. Well that’s exactly what US insurer, Geico are doing with their Golden Gecko site.
