by Guy Brighton

Nuon_solar_teamTeams from 11 countries started a race 3000km across Australia on Sunday, Sept 25. The Nuna 3 car from the Nuon Dutch team has already complete the course, making it the 3rd consecutive win for the country. They beat their previous record, as well, completing the course in under 30 hours of drive time.

The World Solar Challenge began in 1987. The cars must use only the sun as a source of energy. The races are now held every 2 years in Australia.
