Online payment service PayPal has announced new micropayments processing fees for low-cost digital goods in the US, Net Imperative reports. The new pricing will provide merchants with a more cost-effective way to process payments for digital content such as video games, online greeting cards, news articles, mobile phone content and digital music. The service will give customers the option of making a-la-carte purchases for items worth less than $2, without having to sign up for annual subscriptions or pre-funded payment accounts.
