More Real People In Ads

by Piers Fawkes

Bacardbad21281When will this all end and I can ride the subway to work in relaxation? There’s been enough spoken about the Dove Ads already and I always wondered whether the models Anheuser Busch used for their Bud Light subway posters were real people or just C list models that looked like real people. Now, Bacardi UK has abandoned its
Latin Quarter advertising and has created ads featuring ugly people.

The first new ad shows
ordinary people dancing incredibly badly at parties and in nightclubs
followed by the caption, "There’s no bad dancing". These ads will feature on TV and posters (London Underground, I suspect).

My god. Why? Oh for a disco queen in shiny dress and high heels to brighten up my mornings please!
