Eco_head GE & Dow Jones have teamed up to offer entrepreneurs a chance at winning $50,000 to develop their ECO idea. They will be judging based on the following criteria:

We are looking for great business ideas that combine environmental innovation and profitability. We will be evaluating your business plan submission against the following criteria:

ECOnomics (Weighted 50%)

  • Demonstrates an innovative approach that benefits the environment
  • Improves environmental performance
  • Contributes to environmental sustainability
  • Improves operational efficiency

Clear path to profitability (Weighted 25%)

  • Satisfies a need in a commercially significant market
  • Demonstrates operational feasibility and/or expertise
  • Offers superior alternative to products or services available now from others

Persuasive and logical argument (Weighted 25%)

  • Makes credible and believable case
  • Is concise and easy to understand
  • Demonstrates an innovative approach that benefits the environment

Rules: Deadline is December 15, 2005. Entries must be under 3,000 characters. Eligible to US residents 21 and older.
