Google Will Eat Itself
is a web project that aims to buy out Google with funds generated from Google
Adsense:
“We generate money by serving Google text advertisements on our Websites.
With this money we automatically buy Google shares. We buy Google via their own
advertisement! Google eats itself – but in the end WE own it!”
The project organizers say that it is a
critique of Google’s growing monopoly of information.

a worthy idea – but if only it were that easy! there’s something intrinsically sinister about google, about its hunger for information on us all, and its ability to cloak its intrusive delving beneath a brand that is positioned youthful, feel-good, and faux-ethical.
