Identity 2.0As the online world moves towards Web 2.0, the very notion of “identity” is changing. At the recent Oreilly Open Source Convention, or OSCAN 2005, Dick Hardt, founder and CEO of Sxip Identity gave a funny and fascinating inside look at emerging systems that place identity back in the hands of users. He claims these simple – and open source – solutions will provide scalable, user-centric mechanisms for authenticating and managing real-world identities online, enabling truly distinct and portable Internet identities.
