We’ve seen some interesting pop up retail stores in New York in the past year or two. There’s been sneakers, apparel, Song airlines, Target, Plasma Tv’s…seems like everyone wanted to try it. Challenging economic times warranted dipping a toe in the water rather than diving in. For brands like Song it was also an unconventional way to get some attention.

But what about a pop up space based on that ubiquitous fuel that powers New York, Coffee? Galleria illy opened a few weeks ago in Soho hoping to teach a thing or two about fine coffee to folks who already consider it a major food group. Read our complete review on IF here.<subscription required.>
