Trend Central’s Intelligence Group (formerly Youth Intelligence) had a party last weekend to thank their trend tipsters, focus group participants, newsletter readers and assorted friends. The party was held downtown at Lower East Side bar, and there was a raffle and gift bag full of cool stuff. I joked to my friends that it was like getting "hipster in a bag", but really it’s interesting to know what is HOT according to the Intelligence Group. Here’s an abbreviated list of the items in the gift bag:

- latest issues of Complex, Vice and Frank magazines
- CDs from The Blue Van, Chin Chin and Maya Azucena

To be fair I have not truly “experienced” the Jimi. I couldn’t attend the party and missed out on the “hipster in a bag”. I like my Umbra but I’m open to being shown the error of my ways.
