  • APPLE – promote a digital lifestyle built around its technology. The sales through stores reached $2.1 billion in the past four quarters
  • COACH – credited with pioneering manufacturer owned stores and now dowes 75% of sales through its retail ops

And the losers:

  • GATEWAY – Lacking unique products, the stores shut after 7 years
  • WARNER BROS. – Movie themed merchanidise has a short shelf life.
