XFM Changes Breakfast DJs

One could argue that XFM is one of the most important radio stations in music. US bands continue to try to break it in the UK in order to gain reputation in British music media consumed by a global cognoscenti and therefore netter their chances at home and on the international stage. The key pillar to this influential media is NME magazine, but London based Indie radio station plays its part in championing emerging artists.

Big news this week is that the Breakfast Show has changed hosts. The charismatic Christian O’Donnell has moved onto Virgin Radio to be replaced by 26 year old Lauren Laverne – who will become a critical influencer in the tastes of many British and internet listeners to the show. Now… if only she had a blog too!
