Earthrace Wants to Educate & Break Record

Earthrace is a bid to break the world record for circumnavigating the globe in a powerboat, and using only renewable fuels. The program includes an 18-month tour calling at 60 of the worlds great cities, promoting fuels like biodiesel, and raising awareness about sustainable use of resources.

But before Earthrace sets to break the record, currently at 75 days (they hope to complete in 65 days), the boat will conduct a world promo tour, stopping at 50 ports along the way, promoting renewable fuels and other eco-friendly messages.

The boat is currently under construction, but the website provides lots of real time info, including blogs and webcams. Register on their site to be eligible for a ride on the Earthrace when it comes to your area.
