New Gap for New York
Gap Inc. (San Francisco) will open its newly redesigned Gap store today, at 59th Street and Lexington avenue in New York.
“The updates to the store design include everything from the store layout and fixtures to the floors and lighting,” said Gap. “Dark-stained wood floors, modern track lighting, elegant fixtures and a new lounge area are just a few of the interior renovations that have been made. A denim bar offers an array of jeans options for men and women and distinct clothing sections for men and women feature separate fitting rooms with additional lounge areas. From style consultants to the denim advice bar, Gap has also created a more personal shopping experience for New York City customers. The new store design and revamped shopping experience are part of the ongoing evolution of the Gap brand.”
The specialty retailer will be giving away free round-trip metro cards to New York area subway commuters. Gap will also give away free jeans to the first 100 customers who visit the store.
We’ll have photo’s and a review later this week on IF. Stay tuned.
