Wi-Fi Less London

by Piers Fawkes in Web & Technology

Visiting London (and trying to work while here) has really highlighted the difference between Wi-Fi accessibility between London and New York. Cafes in New York are flooded with laptop wielding folk guzzling free Wi-Fi with their herbal teas. Free Wi-Fi in London? Forget it. London cafes tend to see WiFi as a money maker - everywhere I go, there’s a charge. Cafes int he UK are laptop free affairs.

So, what do we do? We’re all forced to travel to the theatre at the Apple Store on Regents Street and suffer the ’sarky’ remarks from the presenters as we get our free internet fix.
