British satellite broadcaster BSkyB has made an incredibly positive step towards making content available on demand. Skybybroadband is the name of the new product that will allow Sky subscribers to download movies etc onto their PCs.
This is a great move but it’s still not quite there yet. Users will not be able to transfer the content to their handheld devices and it won’t work on Macs.

It’s ahead of its time, but no one ever seems to do things properly. Why can’t they make it available to five authorised devices (Apple does) and why can’t it work on Macs?
Another missed opportunity…
