Design[er] Competition For Kashmir

Lloyd Alter from Royal Homes dropped us a line about an important competition being run to encourage designers of all sorts to submit ideas for earthquake resistant housing schemes that will
also help empower communities in the long-term reconstruction effort in Pakistan.
Designers efforts will be supported by an assembled by a team of
engineers and project partners including Arup. Lloyd says:

This may interest your readers- a competition to do a  manual for rebuilding houses in Pakistan. It is more a graphic design exercise in the best way to convey information rather than an architecture or engineering one, possibly more suited to advertising people than anyone else.
