Working out where to take that date you seem to have made during your work Christmas party? Or maybe you’ve been tasked to make this NYE better than last year’s disaster? If you live in NYC, we suggest you consider Thrillist - one of a new crop of entertainment sites for men. Yeah, there are a lot of listings sites out there - but few with the helpfulness and attitude of Thrillist. Over on IF! we interviewed founder Ben Lerer about Thrillist. On trends in NYC nightlife, Lerer told IF!:
"Well there’s the whole underground/secret bar thing that La Esquina started and everyone else jumped on. We really hate the trends so we spend more time trying to find ways to avoid them rather than telling our readers about the coolest new club they’ll never get into (although admittedly there’s a little of that as well)."
