‘Alive In Joburg’ is a short film directed by Neill Blomkamp – a tale of a close encounter of the third kind in Johannesburg,
South Africa during the time of Apartheid. The authorities take the aliens to task by sending them off to the shanty towns. The discrimination towards the visitors from another world makes
an interesting reminder of what life was like in the country for humans not so long ago. You may remember Blomkamp’s work – last year he created the dancing Citreons ad.
