HD-DVD : The White Elephants Launch

Blurayhddvd_logoCities become wireless; cellphones have on-demand video; iTunes swallows up the music market with their digital music; downloadable ringtones reach number one in the charts; the kids spurn album art for gigs and merchandise; and, today, after hundreds of millions of dollars on research Sony and 20th Century Fox launch films on the next generation of physical formats for music and film, the BluRay and the HD-DVD.

Engadget asks where are the players to play these discs on. We ask, what’s the point?
