IDEO Identity Card Concept Project

The IDEO Identity Card Concept Project is a collection of ideas from various designers to stretch the concept of a plain business card. Some of the entries are really creative, and others are a bit creepy (like the Hair Card where you give someone your card…and a hair). The main themes seemed to be digital/wireless cards where information can be updated instantly and remotely, and DNA cards where you share a part of yourself with the person you are giving the card to, be it hair or blood or a finger print.

There are a couple of very innovative ones where the Seed Card where a seed is embedded in the card and a tiny plant will grow from it (might be a little inconvenient to carry around though) and the Tree-Ring Card which shows a "simple representation of the time since the business card was exchanged."
