Mini Concept

by Henry Lambert

Mini_concept_frankfurt_1Mini, the famous British car brand refreshed by BMW, has announced a new long wheel base version of its best selling car. The car was first seen at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and was officially debuted at a private dealer event in Detroit last week. The Mini Traveller, as it will be called, is aimed at keeping current Mini owners within the brand as they have families and need a more spacious vehicle.

Kay Segler, vice president of Mini brand management commented that "Our current Mini is not big enough for a couple who adds a child and a dog," he said. "You definitely have a space problem."

It is expected that the Mini Traveller will go into production in either 2007 or 2008.
