Universal To Release 100,000 Oldies

Next month, Universal Music Group will begin to release 100,000 tracks in digital format from its archives. Over the next three years we’ll see the release of tracks from the likes of Eddie and the Hot Rods, Jacques Brel and Fair Ground Attraction. omg.

It does make a case for Piers’s suggestion from a couple of weeks ago where he suggested music companies will start making (and selling) videos for their vast back-catalog.
