Bud To Launch US Alcopops

Taking inspiration from the UK market, Anheuser Busch is to launch fizzy fruit alco-drinks for American women, the Wall Street Journal reports.

With the rise in drinking among young women in the UK, doctors have chronicled an increase in health problems and police report an increase in crime, both attacks on women and women getting into drunken fights. Meanwhile, British drink sector has seen 81 new versions of premixed bottled drinks launched in the past two years including Smirnoff Ice and Bacardi Breezer variants.

Of course, the US market would never get like that…..
