So Day Two of Fashion Week is officially over and PSFK has some quick updates!

If you haven’t already been watching the shows live on IMG Media or MSN Video– do it now! We’ve been glued to our computers following the shows we don’t have the tickets to. It’s better than being there — we get to escape the gloomy rainy weather, the B-list celebrities and the wannabe fashionistas.

So far, we have been very impressed with the collections presented by Kenneth Cole, Alice Roi and Alexandre Herchcovitch. Very streamlined collections, not over-the-top and simple. We loved these styles!

Kenneth Cole, as always, presented clean lines with fitted pencil skirts and and slim pants. What we loved about the Kenneth Cole was his use of different fabrics (we saw lots of seude/velvet) and fresh colors. Frothy Chiffon dresses in happy green and velvet dresses in violet/aubergine colors from the KC runway will definitely be trendy this fall. Although we aren’t sure about the grecian look…. Alice Roi’s collection was a beautiful palette of muted colors in cremes and blacks with a bit of fucshia and electric blue. The silhouettes are very interesting — airy, floaty, loose. Incredibly feminine. Very 60’s, very chic. (Other reviews of Alice Roi: Almost Girl)

What stood out about Alexandre Herchcovitch’s collection were the chunky belts with piratey skull motifs. Major trends that stood out: wild prints, chiffonesque dresses, muted colors enlived by splash of bright color. (Other reviews of Alexandre Herchcovitch: Almost Girl)

Happy/minty green and aubergine have so far surfaced as the "it" fall colors. And the silhouette PSFK is eyeing: loose, unstructured, feminine. We also see velvet and chiffon for dresses and coats this fall. But let’s hold back for the upcoming shows before we deliver our final verdict on the fall trends.

Like I said, Stay tuned!

Happy watching!
