
With the debate on global warming gaining momentum increasingly the discourse focuses on those industries that are deemed to have a greater impact. Campaigners are targetting the obvious airlines and also peoples home energy use.
Although check out this stat from a recent UK Guardian/ICM poll on peoples attitudes to paying more to be green:
63% said they approved of a green tax to discourage behaviour that harms the environment, while 34% said they would not accept such price rises.
There are a raft of other stats from the report which gives hope to the change in attitudes of the populus. I think people are starting to adopt the idea that things will have to change and if that means a few extra pennies then so be it.
